The PARL Team is Still Working for You

Since the first reported case on January 20, 2020 of novel coronavirus in the United States, over three million people have contracted the virus, resulting in more than 130,00 deaths. Part of the disease’s catastrophic and sweeping consequences has been the loss of employment for many Americans, stay-at-home orders, restriction in travel, and new work and school arrangements.

Since March 16, 2020, General Conference employees, like many others, have been working from home. During this time, your PARL team has continued to work hard from their homes on issues of religious freedom, human rights and responses to public affairs. We have also been supporting division leaders such as in the recent IAD symposium.

We hope for a speedy end to this pandemic but we are painfully aware that there will always be a crisis that leaves pain, suffering and death in its wake. We look forward to the time when there will be an end to all these things. We will continue to pray for all of you – those who are sick or recovering; those who lost jobs or loved ones; those separated from friends and family; those in unsafe homes; and frontline and essential workers. We pray for your safety, health and well-being. May the God of peace keep us all until the day of his appearing.
