• Oakwood University Vice President Prudence Pollard and former General Conference Vice President Calvin Rock received the President’s Lifetime Achievement Award- the highest possible civil award for volunteer service awarded by the president of the United States

• Adventist Help- a small group Adventist volunteers- are providing free lifesaving care to refugees and victims of war in regions like Iraq and Ukraine as part of the health ministry.

• Millions of Ukrainians have already fled the country since the conflict began on February 24, 2022, heading toward neighboring countries such as Poland, Slovakia, Romania, Hungary, and Moldova. Hope Media Europe has been documenting the stories of some searching for safety. The goal of the documentary is to encourage continued support for the refugees.
