We work to position the Seventh-day Adventist Church and its services to a standing of credibility, trust, and relevance in the public realm.

Church Statements

One of the first principles of PARL is that we do not speak on our own behalf. PARL leaders should carry no personal agendas. Why? Because the values and messages we are called to communicate have already been clearly articulated by the Church we serve.

For this reason, we encourage every church member who wants to partner with PARL to become thoroughly familiar with the official statements of the Church. These are statements voted by the Executive Committee of the General Conference on a variety of different topics. When you are familiar with these statements you can confidently represent the official views of the Church in your correspondence and communication with public officials and other thought leaders in society.

Included on this site are links to church statements related to religious liberty, church-state relations, and inter-church relations. But the Seventh-day Adventist Church website has a full list of official statements, which span many different topics.
