Dwayne Leslie is an Associate Director in the Department of Public Affairs and Religious Liberty and Director of Legislative Affairs for the General Conference of Seventh-day Adventists, where he serves as the worldwide Church’s liaison to the United States Congress, White House, other executive agencies and the Washington diplomatic community. Additionally, Dwayne serves as Deputy Secretary General for the International Religious Liberty Association and he is a member of the Secretariat for the International Panel of Parliamentarians for Freedom of Religion or Belief.
Dwayne serves as the host for Global Faith and Freedom, a weekly television show on the Hope Channel focusing on international religious liberty issues. A frequent commentator on law and religion issues, Dwayne’s writing has been featured in the Washington Post, Huffington Post, Message and Liberty magazine.
Dwayne studied Economics and Political Science at Andrews University, where he received his bachelor’s degree, with honors. After graduating from Andrews, Dwayne went on to receive his law degree from the University of California at Berkeley, where he served as Managing Editor of the International Tax & Business Lawyer (now known as the Berkeley Journal of International Law) and was also a member of the school’s Jessup International Law Moot Court team.
